The positive thing is that there is not A LOT to do to make sure we are competitive from the start.

The big problem we pretty much have every year is all these road games to start the year. really puts us behind the 8-ball.

Bull, DC United didn't suffer this year in the long run.

The big problem was that we had many sub-par starters on the field at the beginning of the year.

Sunday is a derby. No matter how bad either team are at a given point, each time we play these ****ers, we should play the A-team and try to win + it is the last home game. The surely won't go with a B squad, especially not after the PR hit they took with Joey's crybaby antics. Then again, it is IMFC we are talking about, they are tone deaf.

Tfc will be missing a lot of key players, Dc will play before the derby and CLB plays Orl... Mathematically our chances are at 9% but in reality our chances is 0.5%.

Perfect opportunity to give a start to Diop, M.Choiniere and Shome. We don't have a B team just play some of the kids. They can't stay on the bench forever.

It's not over until it's over, so no. You play the best team possible on sunday.

The same 'best team' that lost 5-0 to DC in a crucial match? No thanks. I don't see starting a few youths as throwing the towel, think Porter. Even with one I'd be happy. Good way to get experience in crucial moments.

A change was made after that game and Raitala replaced Camacho who struggled with the opposing team's speed.

But no, I don't want Choiniere, Krolicki and Beland-Goyette in for Taider, Azira/Piette and Fanni.

I didn't say all that. It wasn't only Camacho that sucked that game. Choiniere in for Azira is enough, give him his first start in a derby at home. Diop for Bush. With that mentality that y'all have no one will progress. Whether you play your youth players or don't sign them.

Thankfully Carl Robinson didn't listen to people around him saying Davies was too young at 15, now look at him, going at Bayern Munich at 18 yo with close to 100 professional games under his belt. You think if Robinson waited until this year to play chim onsistently he would end up in BM in 2019? Heck no. I can say the same for Tyler Adams who is going to RB Leizpig in winter. (They traded Dax + Felipe this year to make room), Miazga, Aaron Long. You can't tell me for one derby with little to play, it wouldn't be a good time to see what ONE (or two) of them got in them much more than a total meaningless game at Foxborough. I guess I'm just a risk taker. I bet you one of Jay Chapman/Liam Fraser will start for TFC

Montreals' own Canadian soccer hero, Alex Bunbury, wants to bring a team to either Montreal, Laval or Quebec.
What he's repeating is that he wants to give back to the province who gave everything to him and his family, in contrast with Joey's "you owe me all everything" entitled rich kid attitude.

If Bunbury brings a CPL team to Montreal or Laval I'm getting season tickets.

ShaMu is gonna be disappoint

 I was expecting someone here to say something like that.
I'm not surprised though, with his pal Osorio being there.

Is anyone else scared for next year?

We’ve got Piatti, Fanni and Sagna who are all aging. I do think Piatti has one remaining big season though

We still don’t have a 9

Our whole defense is still going to be playing musical chairs

Our solid starters are Piatti, Silva, Piette, Taider and Bush, so many holes to fill.

So much work to be done in the off-season, like every year actually lol

educated guess : the work won't happen in the off-season but like 10 games into the season after a bad start and then we'll fight for a playoff spot

I'm more confident for next year. Rémi and his staff know the league now and they've had time to negotiate with interesting players unlike the Winter/Summer mercatos. I'm certain we'll have a proper striker next year, and wouldn't be surprised if we actually add two. I'm hoping for a more offensive solution to replace Azira. I think he's the perfect bench player to replace Piette or even start matches when Sam needs a rest.

The defense looks fine, ideally we add another RB to back Sagna up, I would take another swing at a player with potential (just like they did with Petrasso) and hope it pans out. Lovitz is good enough to me and a really good value on the left side, and we have Raitala in case of injuries. It will be interesting to see if they bring up Bayiha and TMG.

The team will have to decide if they keep Bush for a much higher salary or bring in Crépeau who has arguably been the best goalie in USL for a more reasonable contract. Bats could probably turn Crépeau into a very good MLS goalie as well.

On the wings we need solutions behind Nacho and Silva, but that would be the cherry on top. Fix the midfield and the striker position first.

Nope not scared, last winter I was, we only need a CAM, a Number Nine, DM will come eventually, some attacking depth options (Tesho or Wenger back to cover for Silva) and we're good. We can find a wingback in the Draft.

The thing is if they finda more offensive option it's not Azira who goes on the bench but Piette. Maybe he'll play the first few games but he can't play CM from what I've seen, Azira can play DM and CM, I've never seen a tactic where there's :

AM
CM
DM

It's

AM
CM CM

CM CM
DM
or
CM
DM DM
