Playing behind Vargas doesn't help. You think that's his flaw because ghost-Vargas was a CF so he has next to choice but to back pass but that's not his real flaw. His real flaw is physicality. Anyone with vision can make a decent job at AM. He can work in tight spaces and that's key for CAM. It's at least worth trying. What's the worst that could happen?

Personally, I don't think it's simply Vargas' fault. Clearly he's not a CF, but also, Krolicki does lack creativity to be an ideal midfielder for the Impact. Maybe he'll develop some vision eventually, who knows. Things don't have to be black or white all the time. Vargas and Krolicki both are relied upon too much for what they can bring.

Ideally, we would have:

CF (Jackson?)
Piatti - Vargas
Taider - Silva
Piette
Lovitz/Raitala - Fanni - Cabrera - Petrasso

Having Taider behind Nacho lets him be more loose offensively and relieves him defensively.

Also, I asked this to #CCPP, but I think people are overpanicking on results. The team looked pretty good before that penalty kick to Almiròn (sorry to for the poor spanish spelling, can't find my accent aigu for the o on this KB). It's after that goal that all hell broke loose.

The team looked good? Possession wise we were getting smashed in the 1st half.

Screw the n.10 spot, this team above all else needs a bonafied physical striker. It' a joke how badly we are when we're trying to finish a play at the final 3rd of the field. Vargas and Piatti hide behind defenders looking for passes to deflect, IF they pass threw, Drogba would bulldog the pile of players and go get that ball himself. That's the type of striker we need.

Moar pressure on Joey plz

There will certainly be a drift between Garde and Management soon enough and it won’t be pretty. I see both blaming each other.

Welcome to banana republic management. Year after year we either change the coach or the players, yet 2 constant remain: team is terrible, management is the same. Make your own conclusion out of this.

Joey is a fanboy and he put a D2 loser in charge of everything (NDS). Joey needs to hire real high level soccer people and enable to be successful (ie do not have NDS have power over them).

The problem is the same it was in 2014: DeSantis... décâlisse.

I take it with a grain of salt on second thought, the media around the impact tends to make shit up out of nothing.

It's ridiculous what Nacho has accomplished in MTL.

Coming from him?! f***ing Krolicki?! Bring your attitude it on the f***ing pitch kid!! Grow a spine, pick your head up, take a damn risk, take it on you and throw a pass forward instead of running around without a f***ing purpose like you're Bernardello. FU

I dont even feel like bothering watching next ganme if he's still on the pitch, I know how it's going to go... everyone is going to try to avoid passing him the ball, then when it finally gets to him he'll panic and pass back to a D, ruining 2/3 of our attacking phases, or just turn on himself till someone fouls him at best. It doesnt matter who we put out there on attack if our midfielders are shit like him, someone has to be passing them the ball ideally, right?

I heard Garde say in an interview, coming out of training camp, how he saw a bit of himself in Krolicki, the fact that he was a more technical than physical. I found the statement suspicious at the time. But now I'm genuinly thinking that Garde has grew some sort of irrational idea about Krolicki and has decided to take him under his wing and field him no matter what. I find no other logical explanation to why a soccer mind like Garde is still fielding him, it makes no sense at all. Even with the lack of depth, you could put Silva in midfield and then rotate some wingers and see who works, we have plenty of those. And even try Shome instead sometime, this is getting f***ing Pejorative Slured.

Ok but what is your take on ghostman Vargas? If you think Krolicki ruin attacking scenarios I sure as hell wanna hear what you think of the forgotten Vargas. No matter what tactic whenever Vargas is on the field, it feels like we're a man down. I even forgot his number

EDIT : It's #16.
Who would be the first to go in 2019 , Vargas or Camacho?

Edwards probably sees himself as a starter, sees Vargas starting every game, has to be pissed.

Fixed for ya. Only reason Vargas is playing is bc he can shoot free kicks, wait until Silva is the designated free kick taker. What a waste of 4 million...

I said to start gradually with this guy, now by June he'll be out of gas.

Last day of the transfer window! Let's get Nguyen cmon now. Give Edwards with GAM.

It's comments like these that make me suspect you dont know much about the game (this and the fact that you like to randomly mention "soccer iq" so much without explaining yourself like the frauds who try to pass as pundits).

Soccer 101: if your team gives away possession for the whole game and your midfield cant string more than two passes, your attackers will more than likely be invisible. Your attackers need some sort of service to shine.

The fact of the matter is that Vargas has been the only one to score even though were fielding Krolicki. Piatti was scoring against LAFC when Silva was in his place creating chances, other than that Piatti's also been invisible but I dont hear you bitching about him and asking to bench him.

With Krolicki out there, our other midfielders have to do too much to compensate and it's bringing us down, it's so obvious. If you find were playing a man down everygame even thought theres no red card, there's why.
