This jersey would honestly be competely fine if they just took off that shoulder thing.
The top comment on the reddit post you made doesn't look half bad, but they really should just bring back the original laurel jersey at this pointView attachment 1003166
FYI, the gold isn’t the throwback/reverse retro gold, it’s the same gold as the 3D logo.
Also, you can’t tell very well in the pics but there is black on black laurels on the sleeves.
lol, this thing was locked in around the time the season started, at least for significant changes.Tell your guy to drop an anonymous note under Michael Andlauer's door urging him to remove the black shoulder yokes and give it black forearms.

Believe me when I say this, this was by far the best option vs what was being thrown out initially.
Doesn’t look as bad on this rendering but yeah the bbc (big black chunky) shoulder pads aren’t great.

Well I’d still prefer the nicer one, over all the poor ones in this thread. That design is probably the most popular idea for a Senators jersey concept since the black jerseys were taken off the table by being brought back.
Every single person who makes jersey concepts has made one of those. Maybe with slight variations.
That would have been the easiest home run to hit, but I get it if they don't want to rehash old designs.
The fact that they are using our primary as the crest makes me wonder that this might not be a third jersey, and might be a soft rebrand. It is not very common for teams to use their primary crest on an alternate jersey without there being a major design change (see Dallas having it in a neon two-tone). I get that they added the brush strokes, but that's more of a minor detail.

These were logos used in a marketing study during the Melnyk era (2017ish if I recall). This might be an acid flashback, but I remember it coming out that the 3D logo actually was most preferred. Which seems to be contrary to most of what is stated online on Sens "social media", but it's also possible we are an echo chamber.
The O with the details looks like something Fanatics would do. Like how they added the extra details to the crest on the leaked jersey, if you look at any of the actual on ice versions of the jerseys that Fanatics had a part in designing, they incorporate a lot of details that from a distance are mostly superficial but look great up close. I assume that is why they added the elements to the 2D logo. If you ever see the 4NF Authentic Pro jerseys up close, you will know what I mean.
