I agree

I also wasn't kidding when I said earlier that I would love a Gaudreau parents gofundme. I'd contribute a chunk to that. I'm not the type to start stuff but I hope someone does.

I don't think there's one for Jane and Guy, but there is one for Madeline (Matthew's wife).

I think she'll be okay. Between insurance and assets she's got to be in the 10 mil range (including a 20%+ down on a house etc). I'd be worried most about the parents who usually are established enough on their but would likely be blessed with a payed off mortgage and a million or more to retire with through their son.

13th home game. 13th win.

That is literally insane. Thanks for sharing that. There was something about Johnny that shines bright still.

Are you mixing up Madeline with Meredith?

Meredith probably fine for money, but Madeline is diff situation.

Not a single of us mentioned the Vlad shutout lol
Yes, I apologise to flaky Dan :D Was more thinking about the W other than his usual worries getting an L!

Didn't watch this one, just didn't have it in me waking up at 2am. How was Duehr and Pelletier folks?

Really love our Mr Specsaver Coach ;) Is that challenge 6/7 that he has won? League's chief.

Pelts and Duehr looked OK to me. Weren't theguys with the roughest game, but very few guys had truly rough games last night on our roster IMO.

to add to this, I thought Pelts had a good 2-way game and looked more like his old self, he wasn't playing scared like he did in the preseason. Duehr was especially solid on the forecheck, he used his speed and size well. I do prefer Pelts in the top 9 to Duehr, but I also think Duehr is a better fit with Zary and Coleman and it gives 2 guys to open up space for Zary.

Also, just from the highlights but so pleased with Bahl being on PP. Maybe he isn't the slickiest (time will tell) PP QB but so happy for him scoring, been the best trade addition so far and there is still room for improvement.

I thought they played alright, others might answer better as was distracted throughout. Im super glad they've been called up and Kuz sat. Give these two a solid look IMO.

The tribute last night is one that will stay with whomever witnessed it. Johnny's close friends on either team, staff, or media will keep it close to their heart forever.

I am glad the Gaudreau's, as part of their healing process, accepted the invitation and allow the city and organization to blanket them with love and comfort.

I'm sure there wasn't a dry eye in the house and perhaps the Gaudreau's, their extended family, and friends have found some closure to their grief.

Didn’t get around to posting, but beautiful tribute for the Gaudreaus. Liked that they named him first star one last time… guy looked absolutely crushed out there.
Honestly, I'd support a "Johnny Gaudreau First Star" every home game that is Flames/Blue Jackets.
Lmao at "3 goals in the net, that's unusual"
That was funny as hell, and shows he still at least stat-watches the Flames (though knowing him, he probably regularly watches the games).

During the intermission, he said he watches almost all the games (as well as the Blue Jacket games) or at least tries to catch the start of it, and when he does he's imagining what Johnny would be doing on the ice. He said some days are harder to watch than others.

Blue Jackets fan here, just now getting around to posting.

What a beautifully emotional and powerful tribute to Johnny & Matthew, heartfelt kudos to the Flames organization for a job well done in incredibly delicate and difficult circumstances, including naming Johnny the First Star of the game.
