He could have fooled me with that mask on. Yes he was great tonight. Top to bottom, everyone did great tonight IMO. A tribute game to be proud of for sure.

Had Johnny on his mask looking out for him and his favorite hockey team
He had a pretty good game. Pachal, Pospisil, Coleman, Backlund, Andersson were all quality. Might have been Naz's best game of the season so far. Hubes was generating some chances. Didn't see all that much from either of the callups but they were skating well.
Thought Weegar, Coronato, Rooney, and Zary had tough games.

No shutouts are easy, but this was about as easy as they come, I think they only had 2-3 good chances and we kept them to just 16 shots.
I even told you that in teh post you quoted.I checked nhl.com and that didn't help; it just showed 2nd and 3rd stars

Agreed. Tonight was about the Gaudreaus. The boys did them proud. It was a special night to realize so many of us saw past winning/losing and just saw it as a group appreciating a love for hockey.
He deserves all the stars. I just assumed he was also symbolically 1st and 3rd star.
