Ill-timed Stone puck dive causes Heiskanen to blow out his knee

The worst part of the play was Stone laughing about it when watching the play after. Intentional or not, laughing and smiling after watching yourself potentially ending someone else's season is garbage behaviour.

Usually head to knee collisions are worse for the head than the knee. Why would mark stone do that? Doesn’t seem intentional to me.

I know Stone is a smart guy but I don't think his brain works that fast. You're talking about events that all happened in a tenth of a second, and from the overhead it's more clear that there is no stop and then dive, it's one motion from the time of the trip.

Stone flops so much that it's reflex for him at this point. He may not have meant to injure Miro, but he certainly meant to take him out of that particular play using the "trip" as an excuse.

Not particularly a fan of Stone, but I don't think there's any ill intent there.

He either dove on a trip, toe-picked, or had a bonehead reaction that led to a bad result. Don't think he's trying to hurt Miro there, at all.

Regardless of what you think happened, it was reckless at best on Stone's part.
If he dove after the skate tap, that's obviously on him. And if he was lunging for the puck while going through Heiskanen's knee, that's also obviously on him.

Stone doesnt superman dive into anybodys knee wtf are we talking about??? Hes clearly lunging to make a poke and probably wouldve been able to do so cleanly if he isnt clipped by Hintz.

His momentum is towards Miro and once his skate is clipped theres only one outcome.

I'll concede that Stone got tripped up but he still lunges into Miro's knee for no good reason. That part was absolutely avoidable. I don't think there is intent to injure but it's a very stupid play. Would have no issue with him getting tuned up next time the teams meet.
