Well Finland lost, but Seabass potted two assists in the game and finished with two goals and nine assists in ten game, leading the team in points.

I'm really excited to see how well he plays next season.

We've got our self a good fish, that's for sure.

Anyone know who he lined up with in this tournament?

Just caught the end of the game at the airport. Shame another gold has to be awarded in a shootout. Regardless, congrats to Sweden on the win and happy to see so many of our guys get the gold.

Most of games he was on first line with Rantanen and Filppula, last few games he was more with Poolparty and Pyorala on 2nd line, 1st PP unit as well

I think Marjamaki put Pyorala-Aho-Pulju together specifically for the QF game against USA. The possibility of serious line changes for QF was talked earlier already on beforehand as a high-risk move for such a game, and then it happened, but all three have Karpat pedigree and had previously played with each other under Marjamaki so it may also have been an ace up his sleeve.

Let's not forget Aho started as the 13th forward in the previous WHC but that may have been only because Marjamaki just knew he can be dropped to anywhere in the line-up as a substitute if one of less well-known guys to him doesn't deliver, as it then happened.

I think I saw same line vs Russia yesterday as well, dont remember who Aho played with in their semifinal game though

I just know that he looked really good, one of the best Finnish players, if not the best IMO

Yes, I meant to mean that it was a chance they made for the playoffs phase, and then obviously stuck with it after the USA game.

So the final count:

Gold - Rask, Lack, Lindholm, Nordstrom
Silver - Skinner

Aho and Hanifin leave Cologne without anything to show for it but bumps, bruises, stamps in their passports (well, Hanifin does), a couple more weeks of experience, and memories.

... and the team-topping 2+11 and the generally acknowledged rep as possibly the leading player in the team. The tourney was a huge success for Aho as an indvidual NT player.

And obviously, I'm willing to bet the Canes will try him as as center against NHL caliber players at some point during the season 2017-18 because there's nothing in way of novelty in that move anymore.
