Man what happened to this guy? Looked great in Boston two seasons ago. Haven't seen him play much but I find it hard to believe he still doesn't have some gas left in the tank. Have to think a scenery change may revive his play.

So the point of going to Colorado in the first place was...?

Stability and he thought Roy and Sakic were building something special while Duchene, MacKinnon, Landeskog and Johnson were a good core that contend for the cup while he provided veteran support. He was wrong; Sakic and Roy had no idea what they were doing while the core has been massively underwhelming to the point where a 39 year old was relied on to carry the team.

Hopefully he gets traded a well run organization and finally wins a cup.

Think Fried Man floated a rumour about him returning to Edmonton as being something that might work. Avs retain 50% and the Oilers provide a 2nd round pick? Sounds fair.

Too late, Iggy. That ship has sailed. You suck now.
I wonder if he came to this decision during the 10-1 shellacking.

He's 39 and just played his 1500th game, he's always been a physical player so likely his body isn't holding up as well anymore.

It's his speed. He can't keep up with the game anymore. Change of scenery probably won't do much.

Where are the Avs fans to make proclamations about everyone drinking with respect to these proposals?

Aren't you the guy who proposed Gudbranson for Landeskog last night? Yes, yes you are! See, here's the thing...a lot like Gudbranson, Iginla is garbage, which means we're willing to trade him for just about anything.

I see you're still upset that proposal wasn't a hit though.

I don't think Iginla will command a 2nd round pick. In all honesty, Sakic and Iginla have a personal relationship and I think that he will move him to the team that Iggy wants to be traded to.

Edmonton makes some sense on a few levels.

Gudbranson is worth more than Iginla. What about Tanev for Landeskog and a 2nd?

That's pretty bad for the Avs.

How about Tanev for Landeskog + 1st(Unprotected) + Jost?

Hall for Larssen. Tanev is as good as Larssen and Hall is better than Landeskog.

Oh wait, I forgot.........it's an Av so.............Landeskog for Virtanen, Horvat, Stecher and 10 future 1st round picks. Gotcha.
