If there isn't a 2nd, no deal.Habs will send you Petry, Gallagher, Shea Weber, and Carey F'in Price for Larkin, but only if you retain 50% of his salary.

Obviously. Bare minimum, really. And I don't think there's any appetite here for that to happen. But still. The discussion would begin and end with Kent Johnson.
I would love Dylan Larkin as he would fit with a core of Werenski and Laine, but I think the Jackets need to see what they have first in Johnson, Sillinger, etc. Also he's a UFA next summer so that's a huge gamble for whatever team would be acquiring him.
The amount of times goalie prospects have looked great before the NHL and flamed out (no pun intended)Again the Flames have a pretty deep pool. I think any prospect other than Wolf would be included. But no team is trading the next Saros.
Nope but sure as hell going to cost more than Schneider and KravtsovOh great another player fans think they can get Lafreniere+Schneider for
He’s a special talent; you’ll see.The amount of times goalie prospects have looked great before the NHL and flamed out (no pun intended)
Unless that other plus is Marco Rossi, The answer is hell no.Fiala + Marat Khusnutdinov + ?
1 for 1 for Larkin isn't even close, Larkin is well established in the league Lafreniere isn't.Lafreniere
Kravtsov has very little value (3rd, maybe a 2nd) and the 1st will be late. That’s not close
I wouldn’t touch that offer if I were Detroit. And I like Schneider.Oh great another player fans think they can get Lafreniere+Schneider for
I mean I get it makes no sense to trade him and open up a hole at C... but it also makes no sense to trade a guy who is *potentially* Larkin's equal AND on an ELC.Detroit would need a potential 1C already in the NHL. Even then, it makes more sense to keep your 1C captain. I’d want something like Lundell + if we did trade him
Yzerman would get on his knees and beg Drury if Lafreniere AND Schneider were on the table for LarkinI wouldn’t touch that offer if I were Detroit. And I like Schneider.
I understand why you would ask for that and why value wise it would be necessary to you, but Rossi would have to be off the table in this scenario. The Wild would need an ELC center on the roster to come close to being cap compliant and this offer would contain the only two of those that they have. The Wild essentially couldn’t ice a team in the following two years without Rossi, and this proposal also includes their only player that would have the trade value to acquire a replacement center ELC, in Fiala. D prospects, picks and other roster players would be available (not Boldy)Unless that other plus is Marco Rossi, The answer is hell no.

Florida is one of the clubs that can't make that sort of move for cap reasons. Their cup window is predicated on Lundell's ELC. No space for Larkin.I'd expect florida to want larkin+ for lundell
One team would be trading their 25 year old in his prime to try and punt the talent later, the other would be trading their 20 year old to win now. I wouldn’t even do that trade if I was Detroit, but that’s the only thing that would make any sense at allI mean I get it makes no sense to trade him and open up a hole at C... but it also makes no sense to trade a guy who is *potentially* Larkin's equal AND on an ELC.
Those things matter.
