I know exactly what is going on. So many of you are scarred by the past that you think it dictates an outcome in the future. It doesn't.
The past....
Marner. 4 points in 12 games, of a game 6 or 7 in the playoffs.
Matthews - Five game 6's... four points. Four game sevens, two points. (6 points, 9 games)
Nylander Seven game 6's -> Six points Six games sevens, four points. (10 points, 13 games)
Tavares Four games 6's -> Three points, Four games sevens, one point. (With Leafs) (3 points, 8 games)
Leafs 1 goal in the last 33 PP’s in elimination games in the playoffs. (Since 2018)
Leafs are 1 win out of 14 playoff elimination games. (Since 2018)
Leafs have zero regulation goals from the bottom seven(eight?) forwards in this series. Only Tavares, Nylander, Marner, Matthews, Knies have scored in regulation so far... and as seen above, they don't really score in games sixes, or sevens as a collective.

Does this dictate the future? No... but then, this group has pretty bad historical results in this situation, and we haven't been given any reason to believe somehow... this time is different. We'd all love for it to be "different this time"... There really isn't any denying, they've been terrible when it counts.
Do they have it in them... to actually flip the switch? I guess we are going to find out!!!
