I have my doubts about the Sabres. And if like everyone says the Leafs are going to be a bottom team because well, look at this year, it’s just as likely that Florida is also a candidate. Age and injury and no goalie at the moment. Can’t have it all ways. The Leafs were a victim of very poor coaching that refused to adjust a system to match the players and turned the best scorer in The NHL into a third line checker. I don’t foresee these things happening again. So is Florida, Habs and the Sabres, they will be the top 3 in the Atlantic. Ottawa, Bruins and Leafs will be in the a wild card race. Leafs could trade the core and restart, thereby putting them into a bottom tier team for years.
Add a top line winger, another top 6 winger, and one of the big dmen in free agency and this is definitely a team that will be battling for the top 3. Only team that is clearly better at this point is Montreal.
