We need a GM as emotional as the fans. Roy would be great and is the only potential candidate to clean up the place. Weber, Price, Staal, Drouin are this teams leaders and cancers. They've been here long enough, it doesnt work, time for a new erra. This mentality to barely try to make it to the playoff is ridiculous....

Anyone would be better than Bergevin. That being said If Roy was in such demand why has nobody offered him a GM or coaching job sine he left the Avs?
Because all multi-million $ businesses want stability in their managements approach - chaos isn’t good for business.

Wouldn’t shock me if St.Patrick has been labeled “chaotic” by NHL ownership and may even be unofficially blackballed after the Avs fiasco

Notice, Stevie Y, Sakic, Shanahan all very stoic in their approach despite being intense former type A hockey players

An other thing for Roy, It was report if I'm right that Molson wanted Roy in 2012 but Savard convince him that he wasn't a good choice and Paul Wilson was the one who advice him on how he announced his departure for MTL so he will probably have a chance this time

Also, I'm not even sure patrick would come back to any situation where he doesn't have the keys to everything.

Noboby mentionned Pierre McGuire yet? :sarcasm:

Given his close relationship to Molson, This could be more reality than an attempt at humor. Would not surprise me at all if we see him as head of hockey operations, and his best friend Raymond Shero as GM, both meeting the language criteria by the way, if Bergevin is gone. With the ESPN contract, and NBCSN closing, he may lobby Molson for this position as his commentary role will diminish greatly. Luongo or Brodeur groomed as assistants.

Most likely they'll do Martin Brodeur or Roberto Luongo.. but there's no real track record there.
I'd like these options though, kinda like Yzerman, these guys strike me as way smarter types than MB, could be totally wrong that being said.

He’s too smart to take the job, but my guy is Pat Brisson.

Too bad Stevie Y left TB, because Brisebois would be my second choice. Should have offered him the Assistant GM spot when Tb asked to talk to him.
