Idea for a Game Day "Analysis" Thread

I'm not against it, but I could see the 'more sophisticated' gdt turning into as **** show with arguments

Sounds like a way for people to avoid viewpoints they don't like. Curious timing for this when so many of you wanted Torts gone and *****ed about nonsense in the GDTs all day, and now that you're realizing how wrong you were you want to avoid being on the other end of that. And what exactly is going to constitute "analysis" as compared to frustration/emotion? Who decides that? This is going in a pathetic direction.

For the first time ever I think we agree.

I would think the amount of content in the post would be enough. It really isn't hard to tell the difference between what, on another board I go to, would be called "post whoring" and what isn't.

At least as far as I'm concerned, none of your post even applies to me. For one thing, I never wanted Tortorella gone, although I'm perfectly happy that he is. For another, I brought this very topic up to one of the mods in a more private fashion during the 11-12 season.

That's not what this is, dude. There will be on thread for play by play discussion and one thread for analysis. It's an objective difference. It has nothing to do with Tortorella, why do you namedrop this guy in every one of your posts? This thread isn't about Tortorella and isn't going to become about him.

Another forum I used to frequent had two GDTs (one serious and one "fun"). However, it caused a division among posters. And just the idea of having two GDTs is already causing one here.

We're going to try the following:

1. A "in-game" thread that serves the same purpose the old GDTs used to. It will be closed between periods and after the game.
2. An "analysis" thread that will be open between periods and double as the PGT.
