Pens should be counting their blessings, pretty much every star had to align for them to win that contest. NYR were the better team the vast majority of the game.

Lot of shit calls/missed calls but that's pretty typical the past 17 years with that franchise. I've come to expect it now.

NYR are the better of the two teams this year, I'd love to see them in the first round.

Pens fan here. I don't usually go on other team's boards so sorry if that annoys y'all but I just wanted to say Adam Fox is special. I usually just focus on what the Pens do but Adam Fox sticks out (in a good way) every time these two teams play.

That kid is seriously special. He could have had like 5 points tonight if you guys had better finish. He has jaw droppingly good poise.

I know Kreider and Mika have their bromance, but he plays better 5v5 with Trochek.

The Blais Experiment has to end. Julien Gauthier earned his spot on the Bottom 6. I don't know if they feel the need to justify the Buchnevich trade, but he's just dreadful, and was a huge reason they lost tonight.

Gallant still just doesn't trust the kids in big spots despite their recent success. It can be really frustrating to watch.

Should've been a penalty. Also we should've capitalized on our chances.
Now waive Blais and trade for a someone who can play on that 4th line role i.e Motte. Then send Brodplug back down and either let Kravtsov play in the top-9 or trade for a guy.
Team has the same holes it did last season.

It's not the first or the second reason why the sport is only regionally popular in this country, but what a shitty product with these referees sometimes.

It's not the eleventh or twelfth reason either. I actually find officiating notably worse in the NBA and MLB.

you knew when we hit all those posts, dominated the game for long stretches but didn’t score that we were gonna lose. Our special teams failed us this game, plain and simple

Too much trying to force the cross ice pass, and Mika was neutralized on the PP by how Pittsburgh is covering. When teams collapse down low like this to take away cross ice passes, would really prefer to see Fox blast away from the point, or Panarin walk in and shoot from the circle. PP wasn't dynamic enough, and it was the difference in the game. 2nd unit was actually the better unit tonight.

lmfao literally all sports have shitty officiating. you think it’s unique to hockey? I’d argue hockey has some of the best officiating tbh.
