Post-Game Talk: Ice bird

Imagine Chytil, Kakko, and Lafreniere actually playing to their potential consistently?
I think they may be...

KK 1g 2a in his last 10 (3g, 4a in 15)
Chytil 0g 2a in his last 10 (0g 4a in last 15)
Laf 4g 0a in his last 10 (6g, 2a in last 15)

Laf's stats are ok, but the 3 between them aren't even at PPG pace over the last 10

Kane finds chemistry with any line he's put on that doesn't have Panarin on it.

Tarasenko doing his thing out there no matter who he's playing with.

Who the f*** has Panarin shown he can play with?
It’s been the elephant in the room all season. You can find some mashup of lines that work together, but Panarin hasn’t had that at any point this season.

How do you not figure out how to play with a good player like Trocheck?

If he's not dictating when line changes happen, then he's not doing his job.

A shift should be about 30-60 seconds, and even shorter in OT (if possible) with more ground to cover.

We consistently send guys out there in OT for 90 second shifts even when we have the puck.

We had the puck and our opponent got a change. That's on your coach.
It's on the players for not changing lol

How do you know gallant doesn't say 45 seconds then you're off? This is crazy to me. It's cope to say the kids have been stunted by coaching but Panarin loses us the game by being a dumbass and it's because the coach didn't prevent him from doing so?

Yeah let's get our tinfoil hats on and postulate that this always happens in OT because Panarin is a cancer who refuses to get off the ice.

We do long shifts in OT regardless of who's out there.

Panarin has been guilty of the over-extended shift all season, and self-improvement shouldn't be too much of an ask.
It's still on GG though as he should have nipped in the bud ages ago

Looks like you've got your own strapped on too tight atm

Pull them toward you and then try to accelerate forward while they have to shift backward, to at least create an odd-man rush or better. Thing is, the other side anticipates this, and so doesn’t commit. Then you end up with a chess match: will the possessors turn it over before they tire out the defenders?
They created pressure defensively, I never see the rangers do that 3v3

Two wrongs don't make a right.

Panarin has always been a retaliatory kind of cat. He takes retaliatory penalties if he feels the refs didn't give him justice

I sure love watching a team that struggles to score 2 goals per game. Especially in a year where scoring is the highest since Reagan was in office
