This team isn't making the playoffs much less winning a cup. And replacing the GM because the players threw a hissy fit is the worst kind of message.
This is why I don’t subscribe to firing Drury. That’s basically saying ok, let’s give the players who aren’t performing and being babies what they want. They’ve gotten what they want multiple times and still not gotten over the hump.

Another thing. They just take too much time to tee up shots. Even when they have positive control of the zone and puck possession, they cannot get shots through
I think at times they are setting up for Spring golf on the tee block . Should just grip and rip . They are soooo slow....

Why would she include that in the article?
Also what's the explanation?
Quitting, pouting etc isn't his MO.

She didn’t though.

She just went over the different parts of the spine. It was really expanding on Kreiders answer to provide some clarity to what he was saying but at the same time I don’t think it was very responsible reporting because people were going to run with it and assume things like this.

I didn’t think Goodrow and Trouba would send the room into a tailspin either but here we are.

That article was his way of sticking it to Drury by portraying himself as damaged goods to potential trade partners.

Have you missed the whole mutiny thing going on?

They need to keep struggling. They're not out of the woods yet in terms of getting some hot shooting, winning a few, and saying "oh they're better now." I don't trust it.

Real losses are the only way to enact change, because they evidently sniff their own farts when they hocus pocus their way to wins, despite most of us recognizing that something's off the whole time.

They never should have gone to war with this group. Imagine the position they'd be in now if they traded Mika when he had a ton of value, kept their 2022 1st and got Mintyukov or Bicshel, and nutted up to get Eichel or Tkachuk.

Kreider led the forwards in ice time. He’s not hurt that bad.

He took the 2 most explosive steps I’ve seen him take all year the other night before Lindgren got owned by Kyrou.

He glided after wards but the burst was there. I don’t doubt that he may be uncomfortable in some way physically, but the majority of what’s going on with him and everyone else is mental.

Drury nuked the team publicly when they were 12-6-1. A few losses isn’t changing his mind. Trade Kreider Lindgren smith Kakko for guys who aren’t zeroes and the team will be fine. They’re not tanking for a Nico hischier clone after giving Laf and Igor 20 mil within the last month. It’s December. They’re not giving up.

For one, I dont believe the Kreider renaissance would have happened without Mika.

1-2 punch of Mika and Eichel would have been cool tho.

They’ll make the playoffs

They’ve lost to 2 different last place teams in the last week and have been outplayed in both.

That’s an awfully confident statement considering the above. They just went through a stretch of 7 game where I thought they could lose 2 max…. They lost 5.

They’re going to get chewed up in this next stretch.

Gotta start making moves. Tick tock Drury. I know Mets fans who said the same as you about them in May of last year

This season is cooked.

You're not trading several problems and getting back 4 or 5 NHL guys to fill those holes immediately.

They got rid of Trouba, which was awesome, but so far, a bunch of garbage has replaced him. That's pretty much what I expect in the short-term.

I'm not advocating for a tear-down rebuild, but a high pick this year wouldn't hurt as they hopefully look to retool for the following couple of seasons.

Caps lost to Chicago.

In the words of our eminent resident professor: "Its all random chaos. Rubber goes where rubber wants"

Heavily paraphrased of course.
