Yeah, it's extremely frustrating and has been a huge problem for a long time. You can completely flatten an AI puck carrier along the boards, but at best you might be able to poke check it away, before they immediately get up and keep possession like nothing happened.The easiest puck strips in one on one situations are unrealistic. You can flatten a guy in the corner, he will get back up with the puck before I have time to retrieve it. It's not about timing, it's just very bad physics. The creators of this game need to watch more hockey.
FYI I'm on a pretty good 3's team so I do play the game quite a bit and I get what you say. I'm looking forward to the day where I play hockey and not NHL, if you know what I mean. It's just very frustrating.
If you lay 2-3 hits and succeed with 4-5 poke checks, then maybe you eventually will get lucky and win the puck. It's beyond ridiculous.
