Generally secretaries don't bother handing over hate mail to their bosses.
that would be a good way for her/him to get fired.
maybe this is a secret ( and diabolical ) plot to get the secretary fired?

Those who want their ideas inputted into the letter post below.
There's a reason why some bosses have secretaries read their mail and take their calls. It's so they can have someone screen it for them. Bosses aren't interested in reading a letter that basically describes why they suck at their job.
i know that.
if the secretary hands a hate filled letter to her boss, THATS A VERY GOOD WAY FOR THE SECRETARY TO GET FIRED!!!
I'm putting a letter together. Should have something in the coming days.
Those who want their ideas inputted into the letter post below. At this point i can't sit and do nothing.
I know MR. Wang you could care less
I have total contempt for anyone who wastes their money on a friggin' ad about a crappy owner of a hockey team. That's worse than Sean Penn style crankery. Anyone who thinks this is a good idea needs to grow up.
And to waste time on this? Silly. I can list a million more worthy causes from gun violence to mental health to cancer to getting people back in their homes (many still are not). Protests over a hockey team... Kay...
Let's assume, as is extraordinarily unlikely, your message gets through. All Wang has to say is, "I understand fan's frustration. But we are losing money as it is, and what fans are demanding is unrealistic." End of story.
If you just want pain, go get a root canal. Otherwise, save yourself the trouble.
Cheers,
Dan-o
i have contempt for your contempt. if someone wants to write a letter, let them write a letter. perhaps it could lead to social acitivism for future, different causes. just something to consider...
I said I have contempt for someone who would waste money on an advertisement, not writing a letter. I waste time on a message board, why would I have contempt for someone who wastes time on a letter?
I know plenty of activist types. (I'm more of a join-in activist type, but I've done my share of protesting. Most recently re gun control now that same-sex marriage is settled in NYS.) Not a one got their start being pissed off about a sports team. Their parents? Sure. Their church/temple? All the time. Their friends? Of course. Their identities or orientations? Yeah. Moral concerns that seem to come out of nowhere? Sometimes. Hockey? Err...
Cheers,
Dan-o
If you want to sit back and do nothing that is your right. If I want to write and letter and gain some additional signatures that is my right. If someone wants to drop 10-15K on an ad in Newsday that is their right.
I don't have 10-15K just sitting around, therefore I am going the letter route. Maybe Wang or Snow will see it, maybe they won't. Maybe it will be starter fuel for Wang's fireplace. At least I can say I did something, because to me doing nothing is no longer excusable.

maybe it just doesn't come through on TV. But it amazes me how you never hear a Wang Must Go, Snow Must go, Fire Cappy, etc. chant at the games.
Couple of reasons.
1. not enough people in the stands to overcome the noise of the players
2. 9-10 year olds don't have the discipline to work together.
and on a slightly more serious note.
Nobody even cares anymore. And THAT is the truth.
This is a hockey team-in the grand scheme of things it's not very important. I understand people wanting to do something-or people doing this. But honestly it's a waste of time and effort. I wrote the Islanders a letter (ok an e-mail) YEARS ago-and I said if they didn't even give me a response-I'd never spend a nickel on merchandise with them again....I never even got a "thanks for your email!". Nothing.

You love the team with all your heart and watch every game and yet leave empty handed (in terms of wins and a shot at a Stanley Cup).
Someone said this is sports and in the grand scheme of things it's not that big of a deal..I disagree.
I am currently unemployed and i'm online/outside all day looking for work and this is my so called "stress release". If your competitive and care about something with all your heart i find nothing wrong with that. Homeland is right that he is sick of just talk no actions. I have like no food in my house but would try to get some money so i can help in putting a ad in Newsday. Why you might ask? because this is my love my hobby or whatever you want to call it and where i can't speak for Home i'm pretty sure he feels the same. Again i can't speak for all of us but so many die hard fans here and we all deserve better.
It is just a game-and it is just a professional sports team.
People just need to wake up and smell the roses...this team sucks-and it sucked before the "rebuild" and hasn't improved one bit (as a team). The franchise is in shambles and the only hope is Wang selling the team.
Trust me written messages to this team will get you NOTHING. You wont even hear back from them-as I said earlier I went that route years ago, and didn't even get a "thanks for being a fan"-I got NOTHING back. And anybody writing this letter wont either.
I would hate to see people waste their money on a Newsday ad-you guys really think that Wang hasn't heard what the fans have to say about him? Of course he has-he just doesn't care. He's the boss. It's HIS team. Period.
Apathetic is probably the best word to use to describe this fanbase.
