Not a soap opera fan, but old enough to remember seeing that commercial a bazillion times. I was a kid in the days of 3 TV stations. Weekday afternoons were hideous until about 4PM, when Gilligan's Island or the Munsters or something came on.

Dukes of Hazzard at 2:30, Transformers at 3:30, Voltron at 4, Jeopardy at 4:30, local news at 5, national news at 5:30, Family Feud at 6, Wheel of Fortune at 6:30

I usually missed the first couple minutes of Voltron because it was on a different channel that was hard to catch. So I would have to go outside and turn the antenna, then go back in and check to see how good the reception was, then go back out and fine tune it. Then having to wash my hands because of the rust from the antenna pole.

Then I'd have to go out again and turn it back to the other station for Jeopardy.

I remember when I was a young kid, my mom wouldn't let my brother (who is a year older) and I watch the 3 stooges, because after we watched it 1 time, we started acting out some of the scenes. Needless to say, when a parent says "don't watch this", it's the first thing a kid does.
