Engvall is like Goat who can skate.

he is a solid 4th liner in that he can skate and play good Defence, nothing more and nothing less

He is just OK defensively. Too often he gets caught not in position and does this lame effort of a stick reach in that doesn't do much. I think he suffers from haphephobia lol

He makes a great 5th liner though

All the ingredients, no recipe. I am not a huge Pierre supporter. Far too inconsistent for my liking. Even when he has a great game, which occasionally does happen, he is not heavily involved in the play. His legs are what got him to the show, but some nights they just aren't there. I'd love to see Pierre take his game to the next level. Because he is still a raw talent. I see Micheyev potential if he can up his compete level. I'd be thrilled with an extra Micheyev, unfortunately I just don't see that ever becoming part of Pierre's game consistently

The way Jumbo is throwing his weight around, Egvall is probably the one who comes out of the lineup for Hyman (assuming/fingers crossed no other forward is injured).
Robertson throws his weight around more than Pierre. Its really not acceptable IMO.

4 takeaways on the year for a guy who has a stick the size of a flag pole is pretty telling. He may be fast, but usually only kicks it into gear in transition w/ the puck on his tape.

He uses that stick of his like he has a short spoon dipping into a hot bowl of soup.

To say that he is meek is an understatement.

He stinks. Can’t stand him because he has the body and skating to be much more effective. Get him off this team.

Ya...a lot of people keep pumping his defense because his offense is horrible but...I think his defense is good up until he gets back into our D-zone. From there he is clueless...just pay attention next game to see him puck watching like its a sport. Also, have you ever seen a player try to stick check with one hand on his stick like him? Sometimes I wonder whether or not the coaching staff talks to these players (Reilly and defending 2vs1's) or if they are just letting them figure it out for themselves. I know Babs used to let a player fester a whole season being scratched often and never telling him what he needed to do to get back on the ice. His line? "Let them figure it out"...

I would hope our current guys are better than that at coaching...but Engval seems to not get it.

Joe reinventing himself is better than than Engvall. I can’t stand him any longer so I’m built in bias now. Yeah I’d take slo-joe over him

He really hasn't made much of his opportunity, hard to see him get any NHL games past his current contract. Even that is probably an optimistic outlook for his career trajectory.

why are you guys spending so much effort compaining about a 4th line forward ?
so he doesnt produce offense ... ok .... on par with about 99% of 4th line players.
