So they are faking a Gleason injury and playing a Komisarek and Bellemore pairing willingly? While still trying to trade Gleason? Yeah that makes a whole lot of sense.

More sense than trying to trade Gleason if he's legitimately injured. "Hey guys, give us something for Tim! Oh, but...uh..you won't be able to use him for a few days. Or weeks."

Not unheard of for a player/team to both agree that a move needs to happen, then hold him out while they work out a deal. Dreger is convinced a deal for Gleason is close, so JR could be set on moving him and not want to risk an injury to derail everything. Could be that he's banged up, but it's not out of the realm of possibility that they've still trying to move Gleason.
