Wait until the lesser spec'd Nvidia 4000 series (the 4070 and lower) laptops come out if you're dead set on a laptop, the 3000s series laptops will most likely be even cheaper then. I wish I could give advice on the AMD laptops but I honestly don't know much about them.I mostly just play roguelikes, and most of the time, they're the equivalent of flash games. Slay the Spire, Brotato, Hades, etc.
But I will admit the new Harry Potter game has caught my interest, and I have played some more demanding games in the past (No Man's Sky, Divinity: Original Sin 2, Balder's Gate 3).
I might just wait. The big discount on that laptop is very, very tempting, but I think in the long run, it'd just make more sense to save up and get a Steam Deck or a gaming laptop to be sure I can play any game I'd like.
Steam Deck is a pretty good choice too but you can run into compatibility issues as not all games run on it as I'm sure you've seen. But it still plays a lot of modern games at low to mid settings, and is a killer emulation device if you're into that.
