I think OP has a point. Like, what do we even know? Has the Hurricanes lost all their Conference Final games? In Rod we trust, and he says that's not what happened.

Rod Brind’Amour, the only coach that uses bench interviews with Jackie Redmond to complain about calls, and lobby the refs. Unsurprisingly, in this infamous presser he is still whining about a call even tho the series had ended. Give it a rest man.

Anyways, Canes are a good team. They’ve built a consistent winner through the draft without tanking, in a market that doesn’t always attract FAs. Most franchises would kill for the success they’ve had the past 7 yrs. This years’ team is prolly their weakest in a few years, and I think the Cats are just playing that well right now - they’d buzzsaw thru just about anyone.

Stupid thread.

They do have 14 straight ECF losses. The Carolina Hurricanes do. That’s a fact.

That’s like saying “the Lightning didn’t actually go to three straight Cup Finals! The rosters weren’t all the exact same! There were some different players!”

That’s idiotic. That’s not how stats work. Everyone knows the Hurricanes haven’t had the exact same players for all of those losses, you are just complaining about nothing.

You're right it's actually 10 straight losses for the RBA / Tulsky / Aho / Slavin team. An important corrective, but also 10 straight losses is still a big f***ing deal.

The Leafs just beat the Panthers three times. How many times do we think the Canes can beat them?
Leaf did not get to EFC? Being there and swept four times a row is literally further than what Leafs did since lets see.. 2002

But I feel bad for Aho and Slavin, last year they tried to carry them alone, this year yikes

I feel like the cane's lack any sandpaper. They are trying to Ballerina their way to the stanley cup but Florida is wrecking their shit.
I think it’s the opposite. The Canes are trying to be overly physical which Florida is happy to oblige. Canes need to get back to their game. Don’t think it changes the outcome of the victor either way however.
