I don’t know if a free pass is the way to go, but I am a supporter of giving him some rope.

I get the sense that Quinn sees ADA as someone he’s going to have to stay on, and I get that. But I also think he’s going to have to balance that constructively.

Lindgren is nothing special. Small overmatched didn’t make one actual pass. I’m not quite sure what he’s doing here right now. If he’s better than hajek right now hajek must be really disappointing. Having said that he’s still Better than Smith who’s the dumbest player in the league.

I am sick to death of resting *****nevich face. I want him dealt.

Boo Nieves is a player. He should be the 4C on this team going forward.

Howden should get a night off. He needs it desperately. Maybe this break helps him.

Having said all that best game we’ve played in a long time and I said it earlier with these d pairings and Pionk not playing 25 mins we’d win this game. He’s horrible.

Lindgren made a few nice passes. This is a guy who wasn’t supposed to be NHL ready for another 1-2 years. No one should expect him to have an amazing debut. In fact, even though Lindgren is one of my favorite prospects, I didn’t think he was ready to make the jump. I thought he would struggle much more than he did. And he was never advertised as “special,” but as a steady, physical defenseman. And other than a few mistakes with the puck, I think he had a good game, and I liked his skating and some of his passes in particular.

Put Zucc on a team like Calgary and he is between a .8-.9 point per game player. I love to see him traded to the west coast especially Calgary (if there is a trade to be made there). Would real hard for him/flames in the playoffs (or maybe not if its a first round pick coming back our way lol)

Tony DeAngelo was the best player on the ice tonight, let alone our best defenseman. That’s 3 very good games in a row. He probably had his best game as a Ranger tonight (and I’ve said that many times this season). Over his last 4 games, he’s a +6, and should be a +7 if it wasn’t for Howden’s awful mistake (Tony had nothing to do with the play). Another game with Tony, another win.

The problem is that Pionk-Staal doesn't work and Pionk gets too many minutes and tough matchups. It's abundantly clear that he can't handle them. I don't care if he looks like he's working hard in the D zone and looks chippy, he's just not effective.

When he's healthy they should pull back on his usage, keep Staal with DeAngelo and slot Pionk on the 3rd pair getting more favorable matchups. Tony has outperformed him, what's the point of all of this if we're not going to reward the kid who's playing better than the other kid?
