Leaves me wondering if AV's system wasn't just hard to keep up with for footspeed, but if it also gassed our guys that much quicker. I don't remember Staal being nearly this competent at closing gaps last year.

He's got his flaws anyway, but AV's man-to-man did Staal absolutely no favours

yeah but DQ will put staal pionk back together and scratch deangelo...ANOTHER outlet pass up middle while im typing this ...... for an attidtude reason.

i do not care how his attitude is, i just want to see a defenseman that can make an actual pass in the Dzone play consistently. if not for my viewing pleasure, just do it for hank? the guy f***ing deserves to have a defense who wont do a useless rim that ends up with the other defenseman.

also, deangleo is not perfect, he WILL have giveaways up the middle on some nights. that being said, hes seemed to be a lot better at pciking and choosing his spots, and tonight has been one of his best nights bar none.

not to harp on DQ either, i think he’s done a lot of good for some of the young guys, but i can already see shades of AV in the way he has certain “toys” and its giving me PTSD.

It’s now 3 really good games in a row from him. Probably his best game of the season, and the great thing is, I’ve said that like 5-6 times already this season, which only means he’s improving.

And yea, I like Pionk a lot, but Staal-ADA is better than Staal-Pionk.

And besides, I mention every little thing I see about many players.
