I literally have no idea what to make of that game other than I'm glad we're leaving with the W. Thank god for the individual skill of some of our guys because that was NOT a good game.

Good teams find ways to win bad games.
We've had our fair share of games in the past (Peters years) where we dominated a game only to lose. Glad we're on the other end of this now.
Gave up on defense too.
Definitely one of those “great teams find a way to win when they don’t deserve to” types.

Damn this one wasn't pretty. LA looked bigger AND faster than us for much of the game. The shots were out of whack, but LA and the Canes really had about equal scoring chances I would guess. We definitely had more a skill thing going with our goals, and LA had more of a blue collar thing for working for their goals. Arthur Kaliyev is a really good player and was the driver behind their great 4th line. That 4th gave us fits all night.
Anderson had a lot of good saves, and also a lot of easy gloves from bad angles. He was very good tonight. Aho was the best player on the ice IMO. He was an absolute wizard with his two assists, but he also created lots of chances and made lots of defensive breakups.

Such a hockey thing to score 9 goals through 2 and then score nothing the final 20. Funny. Sad and kind of glad missed most of this

These things are the difference as opposed to years past, where we would have been run off the ice by an opponent equivalent to the Kings applying that kid of pressure and grit. Our depth and skill - with some luck of course -got us 2 points today.

Did I read that right? The Kings had 68 shot attempts compared to only 37 for us? The guys clearly missed that SoCal sun and only did as much as possible as it took to win. Hopefully it's cloudy and rainy as usual when they get to the Bay Area lol
