I couldn't go to the As before because we didn't address our one major need of top 4 RD.
The offer sheets definitely seem like they gambled and loss, which is bad, but I really liked the Emerson and Pudkolzin deals.
But for managment, the possible outcomes of this upcoming year can wildly swing the hindsignt analysis of these moves, moreso than other years by a lot imo. They will seem like geniuses if Emerson and Podkolzin actually outperform Holloway and Broberg, which could happen if our new guys benefit from being on a better team. But, the flip side possibility is there. If our former plaeyrs do really well, a ton of people will be saying that it was really predictable, and then what we gave up for them will look like awful management.
I consistently don't do hindsight revision though. I think our management did good this summer, especially with the forward group. Plus we are well positioned to make mid season moves, which was set up this summer, so there's more to analyze still.
