I did it by birth year, and as I suspected, they would absolutely throttle team international lol.

There's 23 birth years represented in the NHL this season, so I added a 7th D and 2 extra forwards:

Celebrini 06 - J Hughes 01 - Ovechkin 85

On paper, this team probably competes with Canada and USA. Heck, I think I'd call them the favorites.

I would pick Makar for Canada because he plays the most ice time. Barkov instead of Heiskanen for Finland.

So McDavid --> Barkov and Heiskanen --> Makar?

IDK, I think I'd rather have McDavid + a better defensive dman, especially on a team that already has plenty of options at OFD.
