How to watch the Kings on TV this season

I don't give a f*** if it's "bally's call," the team needs to actually push for coverage.

It's embarrassing that literally the only stream we've gotten so far was because NHLNet decided to pick up VGK's stream otherwise we'd be the only franchise literally unable to watch our team so far...

entertainment capital of the world can't figure out the internet or negotiations? Gross.

Yup. When listening to the Sharks' telecast while the Kings feed was down, they mentioned their app will let you choose which stream of the split squad you want to watch, and being able to switch.

Imagine having two telecasts and getting to choose?

The problem with the illegal streams is you just never know when/if they are going to shut down or stop working.

Supposedly all the popular illegal NFL streams took a dump week 1.

Once the contracts are all up there is no reason the Kings and other teams shouldn’t be able to offer direct to consumer for something like $10 a month. You can still sell the advertising and have commercials to bring in extra revenue as well. These teams have to realize the RSN system is on its last legs.

Anyone know how long the Kings contract with Ballys is for?
NHL66 has been up for two years somehow. I’ve used it for a few seasons and it’s amazing how far it’s come in terms of quality.

I've never had one that I've paid for stop working abruptly except about 5 years ago when there was one called hockeystreams that got shutdown right before the playoff. But there was plenty of whispers that was going to happen so I just but the legit nhl package for playoffs and used the vpn. Hockeystreams at one point was a superior product than what the nhl was offering at the time which is truly pathetic. There are a myriad of iptv services out there that charge $10-$20 a month that include 5000+ channels including every sports package, ufc, boxing match etc. The only problem I've run into is their payment sources are constantly getting shutdown but the service will work until your subscription expires. I haven't had cable since 2015. I did do a stint with the nhl .tv subscription which was great but decided against going the espn route based off everyone's complaints. So I just have two different iptv services going at any given time using one as a backup. Paying <$30 a month. I'm now finally experimenting with dvr on my streaming device which will be an added bonus.

F the cable companies and screw the nhl with their lousy product.

Dish (and maybe other providers) has a free preview of NHL Center Ice from October 7 through October 15.

Last night was VPN New York which gave me success with ESPN+. Each city region has a multitude of servers, and it could be that ESPN has successfully blocked some of those IP addresses and that's why you have to try multiple location to get one that works even after clearing cached location data etc.

I'm getting everything on ESPN+ that's not on NHL network up here in the PNW, so both Seattle and Portland will probably work if they are available. Might help with streaming speed due to proximity to LA.

Seattle is available, but Portland is not. I'll give that one a try next time.

...and I bet when it comes to the playoffs it will ONLY be $50 or more per game.

NHL blackout rules are archaic and embarrassing.

I got Kings games here in Las Vegas for literal decades before the Knights. Now I have to pay for ESPN+, but because I don’t pay for local cable, I still get all Knights v. Kings games blacked out. It’s f***ing absurd. The NHL succeeds in spite of itself.

Unable to watch last night's game normally here in Europe.

This is what you get as punishment for being honest and for purchasing the league's official NHL.tv streaming solution.

I detailed everything that went wrong with the stream last night in this post.

Briefly: the stream is missing almost an entire period of play (including the Vegas equalizer to 1:1), and almost the entire 3 final minutes of the game are missing in the stream as well (including the game-winning goal).

Not showing the last minute of the game was a kindness to you. I just showed it to a buddy of mine on ESPN+ via desktop sharing as I was describing the idiocy of Durzi's last pass. I didn't need my morning coffee after reliving that moment. On another note, I hope they iron out the problems for you international folks.

To be precise, the stream resumed with the face-off following Vegas's game-wining goal. So I wasn't spared the misery – I just had no idea how it came about.

It's even worse seeing it haha. See my post in the GDT describing the play by play of events. Then realize that Durzi holds the puck w/o pressure for almost 30 seconds before trying to hero pass it to the opposite blueline from the Kings goal line next to Quick.

Spectrum 15 deal was only 30$ a month and you pick 15 channels to go with local channels. Bally sports app was terrible for 10$ a month less
