I am 60 1/2 and can remember back to 1959. I attended a few games from 1960-64 but remember certain series eg. the 62 finals vs Chicago and how dark the picture was on b&w TV and the noise of the deep sounding organ from Chicago. As a kid going to school we talked in 1961 of the Big M going for 50 goals and remember that excitement. Especially in the 64 playoffs attended G2 playoffs vs Detroit and the nervousness in G6 in Detroit when Boomer Baun scored the dramatic goal in G6 and racing home in a blizzard to catch Bathgate scoring the 1st goal in G7 which they won. It was a special time winning 4 Cups in 6 years and feeling there would be more. What a letdown since, thou there have been numerable thrills from 1967 on and being part of Leaf Nation and its undying support makes us a special group in the NHL fanbase. Lets get ready for a rewarding season starting in October. Go Leafs Go!!!

I will be 51 this year. I remember the leafs winning the cup! I remember liking Buggs B. & F. Flintstone better! I just hope if they see stanley again in my lifetime - it won't be rated the same way!

I'm 34. Growing up my Dad was a Leafs fan, one old brother a Habs fan, another older brother a Wings fan. (Grew up in Windsor, ironically this is probably a good reflection of the fanbases in that city).

The defining moment that cemented me firmly into the Maple Leafs camp was game seven overtime against the Red Wings when Boreshevsky (spelling?) scored the overtime winner to send the Leafs into the next round. I vividly remember all the suspense, excitement and elation. At that very moment I became a 100% Leafs supporter (whereas before I was more like 50% Leafs, 30% Wings 20% Habs-- Hey, I was a little kid! :) )

I might be the only leaf fan glad we didn't win it in 1993;

while it would be nice not to have to hear about 1967 every frigging day, that was the first year I followed the leafs closely. I would have felt like a bandwagoner if they won it that year (as it is, many people my age who are currently habs fans, are habs fans because of that year). At least if the leafs ever do win the cup in my life time, it will be more meaningful.

Turning 23, nothing too eventful for me thus far but I bleed blue and white.

I don't have a particular favourite moment (hopefully things change come 2013-2014) but Gary Roberts was my favorite leaf of all time. Guy was like a warrior on skates.

A lot of twelve year old's lying about their age ;) No way there's only six people in that category.

Really? :amazed:

I was 6, you were 4. Can't say with a straight face that I "remember" it. I remember watching the Leafs with my Grandfather. I remember my Grandfather being extremely happy and explaining why. We both loved Keon.

I'm 19. Joined HF when I was 14,

Colour me surprised. :sarcasm: I'm kidding, Schenner. Keep up the good work. ;)

I thought of this song. Somewhat fitting for a mod too

Well, I’m a mighty, mighty man, I’m young and I’m in my prime
Yes I’m a mighty, mighty man, I’m young and I’m in my prime
Well, I don’t pick my jobs I’m ready for any ol’ kind

Yes, I’m a real young man, a brand new twenty-five
Yes I’m a real young man, a brand new twenty-five
Well, I’m willing, I’m able, I’m practically much alive

Well, I’m six-feet-tall, I ain’t no hand-me-down
Yes I’m six-feet-tall, and I ain’t no hand me down
Well, I got a gal in town who calls me Good Rockin’ Brown
SAX SOLO
And now!
Well, I’m a mighty man, I’m young and I’m in my prime
Yes, a mighty, mighty man, I’m young and I’m in my prime
Well, when you want me, holler and I’ll be there on time
TRUMPET SOLO
Well, I’m a single man, I really don’t need a wife (Pick up, you gals!)
Yes, I’m a single man, and I really don’t need a wife
Well I aim to stay this way, cause' oh what a wonderful life

Well, when there's work to do, send for the mighty one
Yes, when there's work to do you better send for the mighty one
He’ll stay on the job, until the job is done

That song is my life motto. :yo:
