Goalies are the backbone of the NHL, say it.

I wont because I disagree completely.

I sympathize with goalies because I feel they’re given outsized blame for a team’s failure. It’s proven again and again that teams are better off investing in players that contribute to suppressing shots against than they are investing in goalies that can stop a slightly greater number of the shots that get through.

I'd say 6 million.
Goalies are as good as the team structure in front of them. There are outliners here and there. But the teams winning cups play good structured team defense. Relying on your goaltending to be extra special is not a formula for winning cups.
And yes I know we won with Bob. But the fact the he struggled when he first got here, behind a team that was poor defensively, helps my point. The team turns into an elite defensive team.... boom, Vezina nomination.
