Tonight’s Dallas game should be an important one in the decision but I’m guessing it doesn’t matter.

Just more of the same tripe from DJ.

The face DJ makes as the words "coaching change" leave his lips at the :20 second mark. Poetry in motion. The guy knows whats up, just put him out of his misery already.

I would argue that the 96-97 Sens weren't much better than this current squad, if at all, but JM adjusted and implemented a system that would allow them to achieve success. DJ is doing the opposite.

The 1996-97 Senators were much worse. They're more comparable to the 2020-21 Senators.
The team outside of Yashin, Alfredsson, Duchesne and McEachern were projects, has-beens, a couple of prospects and busts. Half of the team were playing a line or two above their abilities. When those players left the team, they were typically out of the league shortly after.

The top-6/top-4 on this current team look a lot more like the team that they iced in the early 2000's. There's no excuse for the level of failure we're currently witnessing.

One explanation that I've thought about is that Andlauer/Staois already know who they plan to hire as GM, and that person is not available now (under contract with another team).

So, they figure they'll just wait and sacrifice the season and start anew next year.

Andlauer even seems willing to risk a drop in attendance which I hope means he/they have really deep pockets. At least that's what I thought of while trying to make sense of the situation and find the positive.

I look forward to the future DJ’s rope emporium opening in Kanata.

“We got so much rope we’re practically giving it away!”

I thought you thought he was the perfect coach for this team
He was great for development, and now things appear to have stalled.

Being able to constantly consider new information, and adjust your opinions on things based on new information, is pretty basic stuff.

When a young team stalls in its development, you can’t fire the team, and you really don’t want to make large player moves until you try a new coach. That’s what I think.

Welcome back, I'm sure you were missed ;)

This team has no identity, they only thing they know is losing, they're too comfortable in their losing ways. It's okay to be patient this team is going nowhere with DJ as coach. And let me tell the next coach has a lot of work to do to transformed this team into a winning team. This team has no work ethic they are lazy and the worst part is that think they're good.

You're like three years behind everyone else who sees the obvious thing and when you finally do come around you just gaslight the people who were right the whole time.

It's honestly impressive.

You seem to struggle with basic stuff usually so just wanted to make sure you were ok with completely changing your opinion 360 from just couple of weeks ago and yeah, probably missed, judging by the likes my posts receive compared to ,let's say, yours as an example ;)

I remember an interview DJ do at the world champion. He was the assistant of Julien, he said he was impress how Julien can make adjusment between period. This tell me that he would never have success in the nhl.

I think the room is divide now. No way Chychrun and Korpi can complain in the bench or on the ice and everery player happy about it

Has he really been great for development? Every single one of our core players is, at best, plateauing in their individual play. No one seems to be improving. Most are regressing.

He was good at getting the players to like each other and likely him, but that is not the mandate of an NHL coach. He was bad as an assistant coach in Toronto and he's been flat out bad here. It was a bad hire and the time for management to admit that was more than a year ago.

Hopefully the next hire is done properly and we can get someone in place who can develop a winning team.

More of the same from that clown Gord Wilson too.
“Would you say you were on your heels or your toes?”

- dj or Joseph redirects to an answer with more substance

“”So, heels or toes? Head, shoulders, heels or toes? Heels or toes?”

Ugh.

Maybe the problem isn’t coaching, it’s Dean’s asinine questions rattling around in their heads.

If he had any self respect or cared about these players future he would resign.

And give up his paycheque for the rest of his contract?

If he’s fired, he still gets paid for the remainder of the season.
