This loss was an exact carbon copy of last year’s No-win November. A late game surge against a shitty defensive team on a back-to-back doesn’t impress me, sorry.

Anyone with a good head on their shoulders knows DJ's rope should have expired last season. This is just more of the same. No defensive system, no structure. Just a bunch of very talented individuals on the ice.

Indeed.
Point is you simply cannot win in this league through pure talent. You could have a team with 12 Stutzles and 6 Sandersons and with DJ they'd still manage to miss the playoffs.

In the entire 22/23 preseason he kept Tkachuk-Norris-Bath together, even in the split groups. He had cat with Stu. As soon as the season started, he decided to scrap the entire preseason chemistry building phase and put Norris with Cat. The guy is brain-dead.

Wouldn't count on it, but with Staios around maybe he tells Dorion to do what he should have done a year ago.
Dorion is not the only person calling the shots. Staios will do it himself and Dorion will be out the door with him

I'm hearing some people preach patience on the post-game show, saying we're only six games in. Well, what happens when we're 10-15 games in with a record around 6W 9L? Do you really want this team to have to claw and fight their way back for the rest of the season?

Yeah the biggest problem is likely the lack of defensive system. Need to play defense first and take the offensive opportunities that get created by that solid 5 man system.
Not at all what we’re doing now. It’s too close to chaos too often. This isn’t pond hockey ffs.
Fix it ASAP
You’ll win some games in impressive fashion when you play the way we do with the skilled players we have. But it’s not an 82 game season winning formula. If the coaches don’t get that then replace them. 82 games. We need stability. And confidence in that structural stability.
