hes not as good as either Sedin that's for sure
Actually I think he is as good as either Sedin, but not as good as both of them with him paired with anyone this team. However I think kuzmenko and podman with him could be close to as good a line as there is in couple of years. (This is of course dependent on Kuzmenko maxing out on his potential.)

I know a lot of people year after year think he's finally going to break out into Wayne Gretzky. But I'm not one of those people. I think we will see a regression. I think he'll hit about 59pts if he can stay healthy. Physically and mentally.

Just an opinion and I'm just going by how he played when Boudreau came. He's healthy they have offensive depth I can see a breakout. No guarantees of course but hey he's definitely got the talent.
Now you just sound like a Habs fan..... sorry that was harsh ;)

Hes got a WAAAAAAAAY better shot than Gretzky ever did

It’s pretty crazy to just start expecting 20+ point leaps. It’s not like there has been much added to the team to help him out. If they Planned to keep Miller and then added another big piece in the off-season that might be a reason but I don’t see Mikheyev, Dermott, Dickinso, Lazar etc as moving the needle.

Good luck to him and the Canucks. I just don’t see it as a likely scenario.

The issue is you’re looking at point totals rather than what went into them. He’s not really an average established 60-69 point player who is being suggested to have a 20+ point leap. He’s a young player who has had multiple runs of PPG+ play that have been statistically and visually at a sustainable level (ie not just a hot streak), interspersed with injury and visually poor play that’s resulted in lower overall numbers. He also missed time due to injury in his first year, and the Covid stoppage his second, but had a 78 point pace over both of them, followed by 18 points in 17 games in the bubble.

That doesn’t mean he won’t have something similar happen again, but thinking he will finally put it together for a full season rather than just half seasons is far different than assuming a player making a leap to something he’s never shown before, and he doesn’t need the team improving to do it.

that's super disrespectful to any Canucks fan who watched the sedins.

Seriously? I am a massive Sedin fan. Have family tickets for 52 years, and have been to games for all that time, though I can not personally afford the tickets. did you actually read what I said? I didn't say that he was "better" than the sedin's, I basically said his individual skill might be as good as either of them. Obviously their chemistry was unique. I also didn't say that a line of Pod Kuzmenko and EP would be better than the Sedin's Burrows line, I said it might at some point as good as any line in the NHL if everything went well.

70-79

Seems to be super inconsistent so who knows. I don’t think he’s ever going to end up being a franchise C that puts up 80 or 90+ consistently.

Weird way to say it though could have thought it over first.
