We really saw what Carlyle could do last year.
He was terrible. Granted he took over late in the season, but the Leafs played the worst I've seen under Carlyle.The chubby pant load is gonna start slow, have issues with the new D system and the compressed sched.

randy even said in post season news conference "alot of poeple think me and phil would not get along"
kessel will be fine IMO
plus, wilson liked to roll 4 lines, carlyle will use kessel more than ron, randy gives like 5 minutes to the 4th line throughout the game
the 2nd and third lines are about evenly split
I would not be surprised if phil plays even better under randy's style

I agree with this. I think Kessel is still a rising star. I think in a short season he will contend for hardware, like the Richard trophy.

How many points did Kessel have after 48 games last season? I just know it was more than a ppg, so I think he kills it this season with a 50+ point season...the question is if he can keep his 30 goal season streak going in this shortened season...I say yes

Around 40 points would be my guess. Maybe 15-20 goals. If any one gets 20 g it will be a huge accomplishment.
