London Knights 2024-25 Season Thread, Part V

  • Xenforo Cloud will be upgrading us to version 2.3.5 on March 3rd at 12 AM GMT. This version has increased stability and fixes several bugs. We expect downtime for the duration of the update. Won't make a difference. Unless you get all the angles the league had to make the decision.
In game replay was inconclusive (JMO) but that's irrevelant.
Many LK fans will call BS, many non LK fans will call for more n talk about Hunter goon hockey lol.

If a player is kicked out before 10 minutes of the first that game is considered the first game of a suspension

Knights win 5-1! (Erie removed from Ariel's list of teams she fears..list is now down to 18 teams).
Well, the ole rope-a-dope strategy...and then pour it on when you decide to pour it on.
Was I the only one hoping that they'd show McDavid's OT winner from Thursday night on the scoreboard? How about a Fimis vs Fimis scrap? The crowd's reaction would have been priceless.
Edwards got van Pummelled.
My expectation for the 3rd d-pairing is simple: 'don't piss me off' and I must say they exceeded expectations...they played well.
The Erie announcer (Tim) down at ice level was excellent...he's got a future in broadcasting, knowledgeable, well spoken, comfortable in front of the camera.
3 in 3...home to Kitchener tomorrow. Get some sleep boys.

Nice win in a tough barn! On to the Rangers tomorrow. I’d expect a tight game between the two top teams in the league

He has been a good player all year. It's others expectations that we're out of line.
Non U16 drafted kid, forces his way onto a top 5 Canada wide team last 2 yrs n some still were complaining he ain't doing enough. I found it funny actually.
What u expect haters a top 5 OHL player lol.
And he didn't "suck" and then get better, but that is JMO.and others can have theirs. Kid always played smart and paid attention to details. And contributed to the teams success.

Solid win from the boys, pack up the two points and get on the bus and start thinking about what a PITA Parsons is to play against. Now no doubt we are a weaker team without Cam on the backend but the Knights under the guidance of Dale and the "family" always seem to thrive under adversity? It's like the WJC timeframe where we traditionally loose 3-4 of our very best players yet the team reels off win after win? It's tough being a Knights fan ..... It really is! :DD:DD

The 5th goal was a great icing on the cake. Put 4th liners out and let them show their skill. Such a deep team talent wise with great coaching. And another excellent game by Elliott. Hope the 12 hours on the bus won’t be a factor tomorrow. Really stupid scheduling.

Some teams have it worse then us when it comes to the schedule BUT you're correct its stupid.

The team always seem to find a way to fight through adversity so let’s hope they do that tomorrow (today) against Kitchener. But 3 in 3 games should be played by teams with the same schedule. Not an excuse but a valid point. On another note nice to have a big win against our biggest “haters”. Sweet Caroline London “doesn’t suck” they just win.

According to the OHL site it’s actually the 10min mark of the second period

“ * – length of suspensions where players have been ejected prior to the 10:00 mark of the second period are assigned with time served in the game of occurrence being given consideration upon determination.”
