That is normally correct, but Zito has positioned the Panthers to be a top team for the rest of the decade. Most of the core forwards are signed for all under $10 million per, money will come off the books soon, and Zito will have the cap space and draft picks to make the moves required to shore up the defense, and add whats necessary up front.

I don’t see a dynasty type of core. Virtually all their best players are in their late 20’s or 30’s. After another 2-3 years you have to start wondering if they decline. Are they so much better than the rest of the league right now? No, so I think they’ll be very good for another few years, and like most very good teams the odds won’t go their way as it did last season.

I didn’t mean to imply that two was far fetched. By “Keep winning multiple cups” I meant more than two. Only Chicago and Pittsburgh have done that and I wouldn’t even include Pittsburgh so much because the large gap between the first two was only possible because of how young their two superstars were during the first one. Florida’s core will age out over that many years. That’s why I said they could win one but I wouldn’t be surprised if they didn’t.

WTF are you even talking about? 2nd in the league, with 99% of their core locked up, all for $10 million and below per, and have the best management and coaching staff in the league. Yup, they are definitely heading in the wrong direction.
