I think we only end up with one. I’d really like to see a second come back in the PLD trade for this year, just not sure that’s realistic.

Saw Chevy at cityplace food court yesterday. Dude looked HAGGERED. Was walking with a noticeable limp in shorts, and a scruffy collared shirt. Hair disheveled. Looked like he had not slept well in some time. Sorry, rando thought, but yeah he getting old, etc.
I would think he's trying to move 3 major and very expensive pieces, in very complicated trade scenarios. If he blows it, and gets beat on these trades, it could cost him his job, although Chipman is likely in on all of them, and has to give the ok. I can't think of a time when Chevy was under this much pressure.

Good news is he's a shrewed trader, and most all the time comes out a winner, and when this is all said and done the Jets will be a better team. Step 1 -- get rid of Wheeler -- buy out or trade, and proceed from there, as he's the major cause of the problems.

I don't think Blake is a big of a problem as some think but to truly reset the culture, yeah he needs to go, sounds like they know this
100%. People forget they tried to trade him last year for the same reason (reset culture), and when they couldn't, they went with the alternative and stripped him of his C, hoping it would diminish his influence over the room. Now with only one year left on his deal, they are comfortable buying him out if that's what it takes.
