McDavid and Draisaitl have played on the same line 19.9% of the time this season. This adds up to 288.18 even-strength minutes of ice time.
When looking at this back and forth...it is pretty stupid isn't it? Building a team and finding line chemistry and situational adaptability in the pursuit of winning a game is what it is all about, no?
I mean, isn't it amazing how nobody ever discredits Hull because of Oates and their legendary chemistry? People marvel in what they accomplished together...and rightfully so. But Hull never sniffed 70 goals after Oates left....and that fuels the novelty of having witnessed it.
Back then, I don't remember it being anything other than widespread awe....and absolutely different than today when everyone likes to shit on great players and their accolades and accomplishments merely cause they aren't on "their" team.
God bless the internet I suppose.
