I actually hope Cena retires heel. Kayfabe doesn't exist anymore, we all know it's just a character and a script... there is no need for him to retire face like there would have been in the 80s. No one treats retired heels like heels anymore.

I still see the route to protecting Cena's overall legacy is him losing at WM, and then redeeming himself by winning #17 the "Right way".

I dunno how you turn him back around into the same babyface and let him go on a final run if you give him a heel title run. I don't think they have time for that.
