I had Frost. Hunter looked like he didn’t have a clue. There were guys with better hands then Comtois. Hunter missed the boat on this one big time. Goalie never even had to move. Not that I would do any better but I found out by Atom that I wasn’t making it and I would be packing a lunch everyday

The loss is completely his fault. We saw it in both the Russia game and the Finland game. You sit on your heals and play a trap, you leave yourself susceptible to this exact outcome. Canadian teams that win, step on the throat of their opponents. As soon as you get that lead, you continue pressing the pace. Where his idea was to send out the grind team, and i guess wear them down physically. You literally have the most skilled team in the entire tournament, and managed to coach them to 5 goals in their 3 most important games.

apparently he had the best stats in the shootout per tsn this year. around 50% . hunter knew this and went with him per tsn.

Can you post his stats and the other players? Because I can "apparently" say Comtois had the worst shootout stats compared to 4 players without backing it up and blame it on dinosaur coaching lol

don't know them just repeating what Duthie and McKenzie said. they also said a couple of other players scored plenty of goals on that goalie but were not as good in shoot outs.

If I remember correctly, Comtois was 3 for 7 in shootout, Frost scored on the finnish goalie this season already and is familiar with playing against him and Tippett had about 5 goals against the finnish goalie this year. Could be wrong but I'm pretty sure that's what was said by Bob.

It was a mind-boggling decision to choose him when you could have the best coaches for sure. But the shootout situations is always a crapshoot. In truth, if it was a good team it should NEVER have gone to a shootout against the Fins. The situation is too grave to whine about the shootouts. lol

Well it was mind-boggling that they picked him as coach regardless of that game. I missed the game last night cause I went to the movies. Good decision.
