basketball is a sport. It requires physical activity at a high level, athletic ability, coordination, there's scoring (so competition), there's offense and defence (yes yes, arguable about defence in the NBA, but it's there).
Stuff that I don't know if it should be called a sport:
Baseball - extremely limited physical activity except for the pitchers.
Golf
auto racing
anything involving horses. Like really, is a jockey really an athlete or just a munchkin?
