I'm currently away on travel.....back in time......to ensure you are not born.....
This would be one hell of an out of office message.

As for Saskatoon

Had to vote for the Cup but of course we are not there yet. Lighting can always strike, and maybe Binny could drag us to the final if we get in. One can dream!

With Thomas out for 2 months, The Blues' chances to make the playoffs drop down to almost nil, unless somer unforeseen things happen, such as a bunch of their young players all breaking out like supernovas.

Out West
Miss the playoffs by 5 points or less. Too good to get a top 10 pick, not good enough to make the playoffs. This is where we live now, folks.

Gross.

If given the choice to take Hagens, you take Hagens.

Hagens does not impress me (5'10" with not elite speed), and we're not going to out-suck everyone. Honestly, I'd hope we outsuck everyone next year rather than this year because this year doesn't have a bona-fide, can't-miss stud like McKenna. At least with McQueen, you have size and offense at center.

He isn't out for the year. They are built to goalie teams so they could rally and do .500 relatively believably. They aren't going to sink that low. Of course if it's an inverse injury year from last year and it hits another top guy and sort of rolls with bad luck through the year then yeah we could be a top 8 team in the draft

For the re-tool to be a success, I've always thought this team needs one more truly elite prospect in the pipeline. This makes it much easier to accomplish without rooting to hard against my own team. Here's to losing the next 70 games by 1 goal and picking in the top 8. Next season i'm off the tank train no matter what, lets make the most of the "opportunity" this year and really capture a high pick.

Opens up the ability to sell off pretty hard at the deadline to, the decision making will be much easier. One more monster draft, with 3-4 top 50 picks would be sick.

I know probability doesn’t work this way, but it feels like the Blues are due for a bad injury year.

I'm guessing the next 2-4 weeks will throw some light on our overall outcome for the year. With some major injuries occurring, how do we weather the storm during this time? A big losing streak during the next 7-12 games could put us under for the rest of the season. Keeping our heads above water and trailing the wild card spot during this time might bode well for our overall goal of making it into the playoffs. I don't expect a winning record over the next few weeks. I guess I'm just hoping to dog paddle during this rough stretch of games without some major cogs. November is now an important month for the Blues and will test their depth and resolve.
