How does Paul Bissonnette have a platform?

I heard like three people say similar things at the bar last night haha.

Tons of people can have thoughts like this and laugh it off. For every one person that goes "omg, how could he wish harm on someone, it's just a game". There's a handful ready and willing to go down that route.

Guy is a whole ass man child. Even on TNT, he's so damn cringy and awkward. Definition of a punching bag.

He tweets like a 13 year old boy. Hoping on a bandwagon whoever plays the Ranger. Seeing a grown man cry is pretty funny I must say. Guy is a tool.

He's the man. Its comedy, do you not have any kind of sense of humor.

You're making fun of him for being immature, but this is sports. This isn't where you should be seeking exclusively mature, refined opinions. He's fun, that's why he has a platform. Also, the word cringy needs a break.

Not a shock to see Ranger fans in here complaining about him after Biz shit all over them on Twitter.

I think this may be a lot of saltiness because people know he's not wrong.
I think it’s you that is the mark. 90% of it is a work.

I can't really stand him and don't find him entertaining, there may be quite a lot of people that change the channel when he's on and instead of telling people or creating threads they're just "Nope, not watching that"... and come back in 17 minutes.

Then again, I don't really find any of the US broadcasts well done or their personalities likeable.

f***ing loser and an embarrassment being on major TV.
Nhl has way too much dead weight dragging it around, simmons, dangle and Edwards all garbage too.

Hockey needs some colorful characters as panelists, most are just so damn boring with Xs and Os, think Kelly Hrudey, ugh. Look at basketball with Barkley and Shaq, they are very entertaining. Biz and Bieksa are a breath of fresh air. Coaches corner was a breath of fresh air (although I agree he had to go for racist comments), Brian Burke was a breath of fresh air, PJ Stock was good. I find Spittin' Chicklets can also be childish, but give me something different, boring panelists are a dime a dozen.

Well, I think that's a stretch. Sure, there are some crazies out there. But I think most of it's just talk. If Oettinger was attacked by some rabid lunatic, I'm sure any one of those fans from the bar would run to help him.

Spittin Chiclets is probably the biggest thing growing the game of hockey right now.

They’re amazing for the game and allow the public to see personalities in the game.
You really think a hockey podcast is the number one thing growing the game right now?

I can't imagine many non-hockey fans tune into that podcast.

Honestly when Jomboy does hockey breakdowns that probably leads to more new fans than Spittin Chiclets.

Idk I like Biz. I think the TNT group as a whole is entertaining and makes me actually watch intermissions for the first time in years
TNT has a good formula for intermissions. I'd say the same about basketball, and I'm hardly an NBA fan.

They want Lucic to bump into him, not attack him with a pipe after the game haha

Hockey fans usually cry about how there’s no personality in the game(I personally don’t give two sh*ts) but when someone like Biz gets a gig it’s a problem all of a sudden. The talking heads on that panel are pretty meh(Gretzky is awful) so Biz is a nice change of pace.

I'd say that given the fact that hockey is quite a big sport there are a lot of different people in every way, shape and form in terms of wishes, dreams and attitudes.
So I don't think that the ones complaining about a lack of personality are the ones complaining about someone like Biz, rather it is those who were quite satisfied with the earlier situation.

A bit like when someone is complaining about schools not having vegan days and when they are introduced, someone else who was perfectly satisfied with how things used to be, is the one complaining after that.

Welcome to social media, where politicians and pundits have found that saying absurd things generates clicks one way or another. Howard Stern started it all, to quote one of the best scenes from Private Parts.

Researcher : The average radio listener listens for eighteen minutes. The average Howard Stern fan listens for - are you ready for this? - an hour and twenty minutes.
Pig Vomit : How can that be?
Researcher : Answer most commonly given? "I want to see what he'll say next."
Pig Vomit : Okay, fine. But what about the people who hate Stern?
Researcher : Good point. The average Stern hater listens for two and a half hours a day.
Pig Vomit : But... if they hate him, why do they listen?
Researcher : Most common answer? "I want to see what he'll say next."
