Beauvillier is just a shiny new plug. I rather just keep Ras at least he has size and familiar with the system. That guy will bring nothing at all.

John Tavares on a long term deal. Take advantage of the loop hole while it's available. He retires and its a pre 35 contract, he goes to LTIR eventually.

He likely signs in Toronto but if he was interested in Detroit he is still very talented, proven leadership, and a pro's pro. The Leafs had issues getting over the hump but Detroit would benefit from getting any of the cast offs from Toronto's roster overhaul.
