Prospect Info: 2025 Draft: We are #1….1

This isn’t a full list, but from the last update:

NYI: Schaefer, Misa, Hagens
SJ: Schaefer, Misa
CHI: nobody
UT: Hagens, Martin, Martone, Misa, O'Brien
NSH: Martin, Misa
PHI: O'Brien, Martone, Martin
BOS: Martin
PIT: Mrtka, McQueen

This doesn’t include Aitcheson with the Penguins at minimum, but no one seems to know if Desnoyers had any dinners with teams while Martin had a ton.
Penguins also took Aitcheson and Smith to dinner. Someone earlier in the thread mentioned Martin.

One of the nice things about picking at 11th is the teams above the Pens are going to take a lot of these options off the table.

We're probably not sitting at 11 picking between a bunch of guys we want. Like Dubas might be very interested in 5 guys and maybe 4 of them are off the board when it gets to pick 11. Seems likely to me tbh.
I don't think Drury is in danger of losing his job. Yet. But his seat is probably getting a bit warm. It's doubtful he'll have the patience to be willing to wait for a draft pick to develop.
If he offered this year's 1st and next year's 1st in trades, he'd most likely get better offers for next year's pick.
So I think he gives us #12.
If no one unexpected falls and Martin is there, I take Martin and Aitcheson. If no Martin, the next most physical forward in that range.
If you can't beat em, beat em up.

Taylor Haase with great reporting as always. Had an exclusive with Dubas at the combine:

Info about the draft, free agency, trades etc. Relevant to this thread, he views the Rangers 1st as probably landing in the low 20s next year, and a low 20s pick next year is about equivalent to 12 in this draft, so it's a wash to him what the Rangers decide to do.
These are all the players I spoke with at the combine today, and all of them also spoke with the Penguins: Roger McQueen, Kashawn Aitcheson, Radim Mrtka, Victor Eklund, Caleb Desno

I definitely wish there was more about, Bear. I feel he's the "safe" fallback at forward.

I'd be okay with McQueen as long as we're not trading up to pick him. I just don't think he's going to amount to anything, so I'd prefer to skip ahead to 3 years when he busts after yet another awful preseason and everyone hates him and pretends they hated him years ago.

Roger McQueen sounds more like an actor than a hockey player and that is gonna bother me so I'd much rather not have that inconvenience in my life
