My yearly trade offer to flamed by those who I flame

Kane @50% with a 1st to Vancouver for Horvat

Why might this trade work? Both fan bases will hate it( that is usually a good starting point)

Why Vancouver does this trade? They need to do something in the room and it sounds like Horvat is on the wrong side of the room. Kane brings a headache but the first softens the blow if the buy him out in the off season

Why does San Jose do it? They lose Kane's headache and gain a two way forward who up to now was very reliable and dependable for an all around game

the 50%? no team will touch Kane at full price.

I was going to ask on another thread whether Kane@50% along with a first would be worth closer to a conditional 7th or if a team could salary match on a return.

This offer is another stratosphere all together.

It would be stupid to ask that question. The Sharks aren't giving up a first to get rid of Kane.

Bolded is not accurate - Media say shit because they want hits and likes, but this has been shot down by players, coaches, agents, etc.

This whole locker room thing has been made up by vancouver media. Van does not do this.

So a 1st + locker room cancer for Horvat ? Kane is negative value any way you look at it. It'll take a LOT more than a 1st to make up for that.

I thought this was Patrick Kane and was gassing up the flamethrower.

Still bad, but not nearly as bad as I thought.

only on HF boards would a player who has consistently put up 65+ PPGe over the last 5 seasons have "negative value"

and you wonder why the people that matter call us "ass clowns"

This would be the ultimate locker room assassination ever. This is the kind of move you make if you're blowing it up and there'd have to be a ton more + to come with Kane if Horvat is going the other way.

Btw the rumer Horvat or Miller dislike each other or there's friction in the locker room has been said to be false if I'm not wrong.

The 65 point player over the past 5 seasons that just cleared waivers. His contract combined with all the off ice issues means he has negative value.
He's also making 7mil in a league where no one has cap space because of the flat cap and the fact that contracts are ridiculous now. It's not purely a matter of character issues, even if those are significant.

OP indicates Vancouver would simply buy him out

If Vancouver is trading him simply for the buyout then San Jose is including TWO 1st round picks.

that's 6 years of dead cap with 3 of those years averaging about $4 million for the next 3
