Yea. But it’s a crappy honour. It’s downtown and is basically just a hockey rink and a skateboard park. I mean Roberta Bondar got a building and an outdoor event centre built for her. And that building houses the OLG winner verification place!
Well she is an astronaut and the Espositos are merely hockey players to be fair.

Listowel_cyclone_pic.jpg

Fred "Cyclone" Taylor had 2 hometowns - first, the small community of Tara, ON (which is just south of the Bruce Peninsula); and the slightly larger town of Listowel, ON in Southwestern Ontario. His family moved from Tara to Listowel when he was a kid.

The plaque, above, is in Tara, ON.

The second photo is of a sweater of the Listowel junior hockey team, named in honour of Taylor.

Parry Sound, ON.

The town of Parry Sound is located on the body of water of the same name, it being an inlet of Georgian Bay, which itself is an arm of Lake Huron.

The 2nd photo is of the Bobby Orr Community Centre.

The 3rd photo shows part of the Bobby Orr Hall of Fame.

Drummondville, Quebec - Hometown of Marcel Dionne.

The city of Drummondville is located on the main highway between Montreal and Quebec City, roughly halfway, but a little closer to Montreal.

Centre Marcel-Dionne, home of the Drummondville Voltigeurs of the QMJHL.

I actually started to think about this and it is very rare in Finland. I think at the moment moment there might be only one statue for hockey player in Finland (for Erkki Laine). Arenas are usually named by sponsors (and areas).

Eeli Tolvanen has small street named by him in Nummela called Eelinpolku.

Uusikaarlepyy has Komarov Arena (renamed for Leo Komarov who was born in Estonia but moved as young kid to Uusikaarlepyy)

And the Tanhuvaara Sports Institute arena in Savonlinna was renamed as Tuukka Rask Arena.

Not quite hometown honour, but researcher from Boston Area named new species of wasps Thaumatodryinis tuukkaraski. Wasp was found from Kenya though. :)
