I actually started to think about this and it is very rare in Finland. I think at the moment moment there might be only one statue for hockey player in Finland (for Erkki Laine). Arenas are usually named by sponsors (and areas).
Eeli Tolvanen has small street named by him in Nummela called Eelinpolku.
Uusikaarlepyy has Komarov Arena (renamed for Leo Komarov who was born in Estonia but moved as young kid to Uusikaarlepyy)
And the Tanhuvaara Sports Institute arena in Savonlinna was renamed as Tuukka Rask Arena.
Not quite hometown honour, but researcher from Boston Area named new species of wasps Thaumatodryinis tuukkaraski. Wasp was found from Kenya though.
