Holzer and Franson easily have the most upside of the 4 and I can't wait to see Komi shipped out of town. My god he's useless.

The question is a bit misleading because it implies that Komisarek and Franson are D partners when they're in the line up. If I'm not mistaken, Franson played with Liles and is scheduled to play with Liles again in tonight's game. If we're looking at individuals, Franson gets a spot, the other three I don't mind alternating (though my preference would be Holzer). I thought Komisarek handled himself well in the first game and while it's too soon to tell, maybe Carlyle's system is exactly what a guy like Komi needs to bounce back a bit.
The Leafs are trying to win, not play the players with the most upside, otherwise Rielly would be playing... Maybe later on in this shortened season, we'll see Holzer play
But for now, Franson and Fraser are effective and have a presence on the ice, Holzer had his small shot to prove he can do the same, but didn't show up.
With the amount of playing time they get, Fraser is just as effective defensively as Holzer is, and much much more intimidating, which Carlyle likes
