Didn't see a thread for it but it definitely deserves one. Gameplay reveal dropped today. Looks awesome, hope it turns out good

Mod note - This thread will not discuss any controversy surrounding Rowling. There are millions of other places to talk about that.

I never really got into the movies but holy shit this game has a ton of potential. Looked amazing.

Looking forward to this one. I'm curious to see how this world will work....Will you play mainly in Hogwarts and the world around? Will there be an open London section? Can you move freely between Hogwarts and the human world? Etc.

Lot's of potential in this one!

Coming out for all platforms including the Switch;

I have a suspicion that this game is going to be an Epic Games store exclusive on PC. Hopefully I'm wrong because it will be a day one purchase for me if that's not the case.

First time I've ever been hyped for a game, watched a trailer for it that was objectively incredible, and then became less hyped.

Like the trailer is TOO good. There's gotta be a catch, right? I'm scared.

Super excited for this. I'm not much for RPGs except stuff from my childhood and teens... the Harry Potter universe fits the bill.

Trailers are deceitful, but that game looks like a GOTY candidate easily.

E: I am not sure now, I saw Avalanche's game history and all it looks like are E-rated games designed strictly for children.

Yeah, anything made the past 2 generation is Disney stuff. The game has a lot of potential, but it will be interesting if a studio with almost no AAA experience can stick the landing.

Also very surprised it's apparently going to be released for Switch and not as a cloud-based game. If its well received I'll get it for PS5, but I'm curious how much it would have to be scaled down to run on the Switch.

Super super hyped for this game. Literally looks like everything (minus Quidditch) that I’ve been looking for in a Harry Potter game. This latest trailer surpassed my expectation.

Wife pointed out that if it's late enough in the 1800s that Dumbledore might show up as he's at Hogwarts leading up to the turn of the century. Possible friend or party member?

I was thinking there’s probably going to be some Easter eggs. Maybe something nodding to Nicholas Flammel.

This is probably the game I'm looking forward to most this year, and I hope it delivers. Wonder what the narratve reason for starting as 5th year is... Foreign Student, you were a squib or a muggle until you were 15. Eitherway not sure I like that idea, but we'll see.

I think that leaves God of War: Ragnarok as the last game I've been looking forward this year, still standing in 2022. :(
Also A Plague Tale: Requiem for me. Although, my backlog is pretty full at the moment, so I probably won't actually get to it in 2022.
